Overload Permits

When do I use this type of permit?

Students are allowed to take a maximum number of 18 credit hours per semester in the fall and spring and 14 credit hours in the summer.

What is the procedure?

If you wish to go over the allowed number of credit hours, you will need the overload form which is available at the College of Arts and Sciences website. A link is provided for you in the Useful Links box.

If your GPA is below 3.0, you will need to have your academic advisor sign the form before turning it in.

If it is above 3.0, you can just mail or turn it in to BEH 201; or fax it to (813) 974-4075.
