Join the Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology Department (CMMB) and the Integrative Biology Department (IB) along with Chemistry, Physics, and Math for the School of Natural Science and Mathematics Open House. Students and their families with have the opportunity to tour research labs, tour teaching labs, attend information sessions designed for undergraduate students' interests, and an informal lunch to interact with the science faculty.

This session is intended for students who are interested in pursing a career in a health profession. Pre-health advisors and USF College of Medicine Admissions officers will talk about pre-health careers and how to prepare for the pre-health schools' application process.

Welcome to the BioAdvise website.
BioAdvise is the resource office for undergraduate students taking biology coursework.
We are here to serve the needs of students who are undergraduate biology, microbiology,
and biology marine majors. We also serve the course-related needs of any students
taking our undergraduate courses. We collaborate with departmental divisions (IB
and CMMB), our central support staff, and all other university offices to assist
our undergraduate students.

These links are designed to guide you through common questions and issues for undergraduate

Although there are many people involved in supporting our undergraduate students,
there are three main people who run the BioAdvise office. You can see our photos
using the Central Support Staff link on the left.
- We have two great student workers, who are the main support for the advisors, and may be the first person
you meet from our office. Our student workers runs the front desk, answers the phones, juggles the paperwork you submit, and keeps the advisors
informed.
- Autumn Mueller and Patrice Fischer are the academic advisors for our undergraduate
majors. The advisors meet with students individually for advising appointments,
assist with new and transfer student orientations, answer student emails, and use
any other mechanism available to assist our students’ success in their graduation
and career goals
Our main office is located in SCA 203. Our two undergraduate advisors are located
next door in SCA 204 and SCA 206. Here is a map

Students may send general questions about policies and other academic matters that
apply to a Department of Biology major or any student taking biology undergraduate
coursework. When you send questions to this address, please be sure to include your
name, student ID U#, major, and full question.
