A survey of the marine environment, the types of organisms found inhabiting a variety
of marine habitats, and the adaptations of the organisms to those habitats. Emphasis
is placed on shallow water Florida environments. Lecture only.

A detailed analysis of marine environment in the Tampa Bay or surrounding area.
Field and laboratory work will provide direct experience with the system.
BSC 4905 Independent Study (1-3) AS BIO

May be taken by majors for free elective credit. Specialized independent study determined
by the student's needs and interests. The written contract required by the Department
of Biology specifies the regulations governing independent study.
