Graduate Course Permits

When do I need a permit?

You need a permit for most of your graduate level courses and in particular for thesis, research and any 6000 level course.

How do I request a permit?

The link in the Useful Links box will take you to the graduate permit request form. This is an online form. You must request a permit for each course individually.

Then what happens?

An email is sent to the professor and copy to Christine Smith. When the professor approves the permit he/she sends an email to Christine who will then issue the permit.

How do I know the permit has been granted?

You can log into OASIS and check your registration status. Active permits will show there.
