Graduate Studies
The Department of Biology offers excellent opportunities for high quality graduate
study leading to the Ph.D. degree in Biology and the M.S. degree in Biology or Microbiology.
The facilities available within the Department and University provide for state-of-the-art
biological research, and USF's location on the West Coast of Florida offers easy
access to a large number of unique terrestrial, marine and fresh water research
habitats. The rapid growth of high technological enterprise in Tampa and at the
University of South Florida provides laboratory opportunities and biotechnology
equipment to facilitate study in cellular-molecular biology.
