Confocal Microscopy Center

CMMB has a Perkin-Elmer Ultraview ERSĀ  FRET confocal microscope on a Zeiss platform. It utilizes spinning disk technology producing a 6-line confocal image.
This microscope can be used at the following rates:
Unassisted 50.00*
Assisted/or with instruction 70.00*
*Non-educational organization charges are 125.00/145.00 respectively

DNA Sequencing Facility


The CMMB DNA Sequencing facility features a Beckman CEQ8000 Genetic Analyzer capable of DNA sequencing and fragment analysis. It is located in BSF 260. See here for more details.

USF Herbarium


The USF Herbarium was established as a research and teaching collection in 1958, two years after the founding of the University of South Florida. It is located in rooms 170-179 of the Life Sciences Building (LIF), on the Tampa Campus of the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. The USF Herbarium, with more than 250,000 specimens, is the second largest collection in Florida, the seventh largest in the southeastern United States, and ranks in the upper third of the world's herbaria in size.
