Due to the current university mandate regarding COVID-19, our office is working remotely.

We are still providing virtual appointments using Microsoft Teams.

We are in the midst of a strange and uncertain time but we are here to help you. If you are unable to find an appointment, please email us your questions to bioadvise@usf.edu. We are providing email advising as well to best support our students.

Please keep in mind, during this busy time the BioAdvise inbox has a 5 business day response time.

Additionally, our office is offering Virtual Drop-In Advising for current and newly admitted students. If you are unable to find an appointment, please review the Drop-In calendar and website for additional days and times to see an advisor.

How will virtual appointments work:

Please utilize the below links to schedule an appointment via Archivum.

Once you have scheduled your appointment, you will receive an email with the information required to log-in to your virtual, Microsoft Teams appointment.

At the time of your appointment, please video or phone call into the Microsoft Teams meeting, as outlined in the email, to begin talking with an advisor.

If you have any trouble with this process, you can email our front office at NSMACasst@usf.edu.

Please keep the following in mind:

The Teams link you receive will prompt you to join the meeting by downloading the Microsoft Teams Desktop app, or by joining on the web instead. Either one of these options will connect you to your advisor.

You can also choose to call in with your mobile device using the toll-free number provided. Once you call the number, you will be prompted to enter the conference ID, followed by the # sign. This will connect you to your advisor for an audio conference.

Please be patient: If you log-in a few minutes before your appointment, please note that your advisor may not have joined the meeting yet. We may be wrapping up the previous appointment and will be in shortly.

Unsure if you are considered an active student? Review the Active Student Status information on our Important Policies page.

Active Student Appointments with the Biology Advisors are scheduled through the Archivum scheduling system.

Click on the below calendar to schedule an appointment through Archivum.

You can also download the USF Archivum App for your android or apple phone!

If you are unable to find an appointment online, please review the BioAdvise Drop-In Calendars for days in which you can walk-in to see an advisor.

If you are unable to find an appointment and cannot attend a walk-in, please email us directly at bioadvise@usf.edu so that we can see about fitting you on to one of our calendars.

Appointments with the Biology Advisors for inactive, returning, and prospective students are scheduled through the USF e-scheduler system.

Click on the below calendar to schedule an appointment through e-scheduler.

Once signed in to the USF E-scheduler, please select Biology from the AREA drop-down menu.

If you are Returning or Inactive student, please make sure to include your U# in the comments box when scheduling your appointment as this will help us to best prepare.

If you are unable to find an appointment, please email us directly at bioadvise@usf.edu so that we can see about fitting you on to one of our calendars.

We kindly ask that prospective students do not schedule an appointment during the below dates, as these are the busiest times of the year for our current students.

  • Jan 1 to Jan 15
  • March 1 to May 15
  • Aug 14 to Sept 5
  • Oct 1 to Dec 1

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel your appointment through the USF system in which you scheduled your appointment (Archivum for current and newly admitted students, E-Scheduler for prospective and inactive students) and email your advisor.

Cancelling an appointment that you know you are not able to attend allows another student to schedule in that time to meet with an advisor.

If you have an emergency the day of your appointment, and can no longer attend, please email our front office at NSMACasst@usf.edu.
