The Biology Advisors meet with students to discuss a variety of topics, including graduation requirements, semester course planning, career goals, graduate school or professional school intentions, and more. We strive to provide the best advising experience for our students regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, etc, by treating all students equally and with the utmost respect.

As a team our shared goal is to guide students through college in order to be successful undergraduate students who are prolific in their future career and community.

Appointments are 30 minutes long and can be scheduled 24 hours to 2 weeks in advance.

Unsure if you are considered an active student? Review the Active Student Status information on our Important Policies page.

Active Student Appointments with the Biology Advisors are scheduled through the Archivum scheduling system.

Click on the below calendar to schedule an appointment through Archivum.

You can also download the USF Archivum App for your android or apple phone!

If you are unable to find an appointment online, please review the BioAdvise Walk-In Calendars for days in which you can walk-in to see an advisor.

If you are unable to find an appointment and cannot attend a walk-in, please email us directly at bioadvise@usf.edu so that we can see about fitting you on to one of our calendars.

Appointments with the Biology Advisors for inactive, returning, and prospective students are scheduled through the USF e-scheduler system.

Click on the below calendar to schedule an appointment through e-scheduler.

Once signed in to the USF E-scheduler, please select Biology from the AREA drop-down menu.

If you are Returning or Inactive student, please make sure to include your U# in the comments box when scheduling your appointment as this will help us to best prepare.

If you are unable to find an appointment, please email us directly at bioadvise@usf.edu so that we can see about fitting you on to one of our calendars.

We kindly ask that prospective students do not schedule an appointment during the below dates, as these are the busiest times of the year for our current students.

  • Jan 1 to Jan 15
  • March 1 to May 15
  • Aug 14 to Sept 5
  • Oct 1 to Dec 1

Skype Accommodations

If you are not able to come to campus for an extenuating circumstance you can schedule a Skype Appointment by following the steps below:

  1. Schedule an available appointment through the USF E-scheduler
  2. In the comments box indicate "Skype Appointment"
  3. Once your appointment is confirmed, email BioAdvise@usf.edu with the following information:
    • Your full name and U# (if applicable)
    • The name of the advisor holding your appointment
    • The date and time of your appointment
    • Reason for the Skype request
  4. You will then receive an email with further instructions for your Skype Appointment

Skype appointments are usually only approved for the following reasons, however, we review all requests on a case-by-case basis:

  • You are outside of a 2 hour radius from the USF Tampa campus
  • There are extenuating circumstances that prevent your travel to campus

Requests for Skype appointments should be made as soon as you confirm your appointment on the E-scheduler and can be requested no less than 24 hours in advance.

If you do not have access to a computer please make note of such in your email to our office.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel your appointment through the USF E-scheduler and email your advisor.

Cancelling an appointment that you know you are not able to attend allows another student to schedule in that time to meet with an advisor.

If you have an emergency the day of your appointment, and can no longer attend, please call our front office at 813-974-3250.
